Swans should get one of channel 7's $20 grand a day QCs to work up Barry's defence.
He MUST play in the grand Final

It looked like Barry didn't actually sink his fist in, it seemed as though he pulled his arm back real fast, making it look like there wasn't to much impact in the punch

as long as Mcguire testifies to a similiar effect, the decision should be in his favour. Mcguire's testimony is the key.

If there is, I'm sure TEN won't show it. They want BBBB in the G/F as much as we do. It is about ratings for them.

Q...
17th September 2005, 12:21 AM
Apart from Barry being big and scary, is there any difference between what Barry did and what was happening to Goodes before the first bounce?

ugg
17th September 2005, 12:22 AM
The difference was ... Goodes didn't go down as if he had been shot.

But if he does that, then he's admitting to the world that he's a coward and went down for no reason. I just can't see it happening

Going down to milk a free. It is worse to dope a player in. I think that is the unspoken rule between the players. We have seen those before and we will see them again.

Yea baby, on my feet, fists pumping.

Keep the anger swannies, you could see it at work in the 3qtr time break, roos getting into hall, hall getting into the maggots, capn getting into everyone like only he can.

That's the way to play next week, with anger, nothing to lose.

This game, Kirk down in the first, Kirk's address at 3Q time ... Kirk for full-time captain next year (and definitely for the final should Hall miss) ... Woohoo !!!!!

Again we appeared to have more petrol in the tank than the opposition and came home strongly. The desperation shown was inspirational. St Kilda pfft...

ROK played an asbolute blinder, as did Schneider. Crouchy held Milne well (despite wincing every time his shoulder was touched). Hally was great (don't think there is sufficient video evidence to rule conclusively on the love tap). Jason Ball, Boltons 1 & 2, hell most of the team played their hearts out.

Also full credit to Roos and the coaching staff!

Just booked airfares and accommodation, Granny here we come. It's starting to feel like destiny.

Wow, just had another look at the scoreboard, and realised we kicked 7 goals to zip in the last quarter. That's unbelievable stuff. Almost a reversal of the 2003 PF against the Lions.

Yep, 7.0 to 0.4. IIRC it was something like 6.6 to 0.1 in 2003.

I cant believe we have a grand final berth.Yay what a day/night. Sick all night with nerves - felt worse before 3/4 time but happy about the 14 point defict reduced to 7.
Also as a good omen started my video at 1933 - a good omen yay.
Hope Hall gets off - he contributed well - and AFL should get behind him and support him getting off - as they do Lloyd baby.
Golly think of those Melbourne supporters for St Kilda and all of Melbourne - go interstate teams.
Swans you are wonderful.
Plane tickets booked, Accommodation booked and GF tickets almost booked - 3 of us are there.

How does a bloke with two kids (3 yo + .5 yo ) get tickets? I heard Sun was the first opportunity for non-members (could only attend 3 games this season with kids...). Already got flights.

Probably have to look at other people selling tickets, the chances of non members getting tickets is next to none unfortunatly

I watched the last quarter again on the Fox replay - it was 7 goals in about 8 mins of actual time counted down - didn't realise it watching it live, but it was very much like the 2nd quarter against Geelong in respect of get the ball in and kick a goal with just everything going right.

I've said all year that if the Swans play that brand of footy (last quarter) that NO-ONE NO-ONE would be able to beat us.
Hopefully we've got another burst like that in us.

I've been repeating aloud to myself ever since the final siren:

Sydney is in the grand final
Sydney is in the grand final
Sydney is in the grand final
Swans are in the grand final

And it still hasn't sunk in yet!

One to go though everyone, don't get ahead of ourselves.

Cheer, cheer the red and the white,
Honour the name by day and by night.
Lift that noble banner high,
Shake down the thunder from the sky.
What though the odds be great, or be small,
Swans will go in and win overall.
While her loyal sons are marching,
Onward to victory.

I've pretty much been crying all weekend. Not constantly, but every twenty minutes or so I think about the fact we're in the grand final, or catch a glimpse of pictures of the team after the game, and I start to cry.

It's getting very embarassing.
