COLLINGWOOD president Eddie McGuire has been told to put up or shut up with his repeated slurs of South Australian football fans at AAMI Stadium.

Both Port Adelaide - who host McGuire and his Magpies at the West Lakes arena tomorrow night - and rivals Adelaide yesterday expressed their anger at McGuire using unsubstantiated claims describing AAMI Stadium as a problem venue for the AFL.

Adelaide chief executive Steven Trigg yesterday was moved to call McGuire to warn him of the unjustified damage he was doing to Australian football's image in SA. Power president Greg Boulton will seek out McGuire at AAMI Stadium tomorrow night to challenge him on the unproven claims of bad behaviour by SA football fans.

Port chief executive Brian Cunningham and Trigg yesterday took exception to McGuire's claims in Melbourne's leading newspaper, The Herald Sun, that there were "occupational, health and safety issues there" at AAMI Stadium. "It's out of hand," said McGuire.

Trigg said yesterday he was "disappointed" McGuire was repeatedly referring to incidents which could not be substantiated.

"This is three times he has done this and I am quite disappointed he keeps serving it up when the AFL, the SANFL and our own investigations find there is not a hint of substantiation to any of these claims," Trigg said.

Aside from that, he's a bloody jinx - his team can't win once he's opened his mouth! Oh hang on... Keep talking Eddie - it's the fastest way to the bottom of the ladder!
