So 10 times more people watched a soccer match at 2 in the morning than Swans in prime time??

World Cup (with Australia actually in it) vs AFL... can't really compare.

Not just the Swans. I think you could apply that stat to most programs over the last few weeks.

I cant believe those Sydney figures could be right.

I refuse to believe that for every person at the game there was only 2 watching at home.

Easy - the viewership is taken after half-time and the swans dished up a half of pure utter crap. The socceroos scored 3 goals in 8 minutes against Japan and Sydney managed 2 in 60 minutes of play.

You know Im right. Admit it.

After half-time? Why is that? I tell ya, our ratings system is pretty murky. I still have trouble coming to terms with the fact that a few thousand 'they shall remain secret' people have this little thing stuck to their tele that determines ratings. These people effectively decide what 20 million watch around the country.

Quite a few non-AFL types I know tend to flick during the Swans games.
