Tomorrow AFL fans in Canberra are asked to join sporting legends, including Tony Lockett , Mal Meninga and Bali hero Jason McCartney as they March to Manuka Oval.

And it is all in the name of charity as the money raised from the annual March to Manuka will go to the Children's ward of the Canberra Hospital.

Despite the inclement weather today in Canberra the March to Manuka will proceed tomorrow.

Marchers are encouraged to rug up and enjoy the activities at Kingston oval which start from 11am. These include footy drills, a band, face painting and clowns, and of course the opportunity to get some autographs from your heroes. Kangaroos team mascot Roo Ruckle will also be there to help the children limber up.

The people of Canberra are asked to assemble at Kingston Oval from 11am where they can purchase their tickets to the AFL match between the Kangaroos and Geelong at Manuka Oval staring at 1.40pm.

Children who March to Manuka will be given free entry to the game. Parents or guardians who participate are asked to pay $10 as a donation to the Children?s Ward (donation includes ground entry ? normally $17).

A designated seating area will be set aside for all those that take part in the March to Manuka Oval.

This year the march, commencing at 12midday, will make its way down Canberra Avenue to the Ground. Once all the marchers have filed onto Manuka Oval, the Canberra Times will take a giant photo of everybody.
