WorldAudio Group Ltd has signed a broadcast rights agreement with the Australian Football League (AFL), it said.

The agreement gives WorldAudio's station, Radio 2 1611AM, the rights to broadcast all of the Sydney Swans home games live.

Radio 2 1611AM is targeted at Sydney's greater western region and has a potential audience population of 2.4 million people.

What a shame many people's radio's even in the west can't get 1611am on the dial! Some will be lucky!

They are a commercial station that is off the dial for many and is an offshoot of 2KY. Musically its a country & western station.
People make the mistake that they are a Community Station.
As long as the ABC have the games I assume you will hear them!

What Troy says is correct. They are a commercial station that operate under a section 40 or a non-BSB licence (non-Broadcasting Services Band) licence. 2.4 million listeners is a grossly over-inflated projection as the dial on only some newer radios extend beyond 1606.5 kHz. 'Potential' is a deceptive word. 'Potentially' everyone in Sydney could go out and buy a new radio. 'Realistically' I suspect that they won't.
