not a bad list but disappointing to see Saddo and Ball not there, although the latter looks to be a few weeks off getting back into it.

Still no Heath the countdown continues. Does anyone know what is the AFL record for longest time between Senior games by an individual player?

I'm by no means certain, but Alex "Bongo" Lang was suspended for 5 years for "playing dead" after a bribe in 1910, served his sentence then returned for two more seasons in 1916-17.

So Heathy's got a while to go yet!

James not playing isn't a surprise. It was only August or so when he ruptured his patella tendon and at the time it was said he might miss a year. I later read that he wasn't expected to resume playing until June, and then later that he was well ahead of schedule. But I don't think it was ever expected he'd be ready by now.

Couple of names I'm surprised / disappointed to see missing from that list. One is LRT because I hadn't heard anything about him being injured.

The other is "Mr Durable" - Jared Crouch. Do you reckon the club is trying to keep him away from Cressa?!

Cressa's gotta take Crouchy out. It would be the biggest thing since BP getting hit by that bus before the GF. :D

By my quick calculations Heath is behind 5 other currently senior-listed players anyway (Hadley, Cupido, Picken, Shaw and Dragacevic).

Michael Wilson injured himself the week after Heath played against Collingwood in 2001 and hasn't played since also.

These are theones to watch over the pre-season, the performance of these guys is the big unknown for this season.

Although I expect that McVeigh will play in the reserves most of the season

Could we have a rating on the 27 players and their performance?

ajn,

give it time the game finished around 7pm so it take time for people to get home and write a full report. Make do until then
