A masterstroke to have him in the forward zone all night. He relished it. Bigtime.

Great game in the fwd line but I do honestly think we missed him in the middle more.....

Who was the last Swan to kick 8 goals in a match? Lockett? I don't think Hall has ever kicked more than 7 for us!!

Stone said at the aftermatch that Goodesy will be in the 50 for the rest of the season.

He also said Mickey is a good 4 to 5 weeks away......
Guess that means we won't be seeing him again this year :frown

LMAO to Roosy. :)

Goodes, Hall inspire Swans - AFL - Fox Sports (http://www.foxsports.com.au/story/0,8659,24154659-23211,00.html)

Roos joked of the career-best haul by Goodes: ?Once he learns how to play that role he might do okay.?

They said something about 1989 (or something in the 1980s) after the match so that could very well have been reference to the last person who kicked 8 goals. I wasn't paying that much attention though.

ETA: Though the 8 goals thing is kind of irrelevant when you look at some of the amounts Plugger was kicking in his day, so I'm not sure if they were just taking him out of the equation when looking at the facts. :)

You're kidding aren't you.

Plugger did it every second week.

To be fair I did edit it at the exact time you posted and tried to go and make the post below (and also edit the post above in the process) but couldn't before you did because of the 60 second posting rule here.

But they did make reference to the 8 goals in relation to the 1980s at the SCG. Not sure exactly why (I wasn't listening completely) since I was still in shock that we had pulled off the win. :)

Are we all lined up to vote The ArmyAward to Bevo? And plan a raid if he isn't nominated? That mark was un******believab le.

I think I am getting too old for this &^*(. I have to keep remembering what Kirky once told a friend of mine. NEVER give up on us!

Geez, Roosey is lavishing in his praise these days.

He claimed not to have seen Davis' efforts in 05

Ggodesy kicked 8 in the GF of the Under 18's TAC Cup. We it seems were the only ones that noticed.
