ok children, I'm posting these again as ANOTHER reminder, plus a small addition. If anyone pushes it from here on in, there won't be second chances.
On RWO, unacceptable practices include, but are not limited to:
1) Excessive swearing and/or mature content - This is essentially a site that is accessible by Swans supporters of all ages. I will let some minor cases through, but you have to draw the line somewhere.
2) Off-topic posts - Some people prefer to just read swans or footy related posts. This is, after all, an SFC website. I don't think it's too much to ask that people post in the right sections if possible.
3) Flaming/abusive threads - If you have to have a go at someone personally, take it off the board. Everyone else doesn't need to see your hissy fits. Remember, "Play the ball, not the man".
4) Legal issues - This is the tricky one. Basically I'll be inclined to keep a very close eye on threads discussing rumours or anything that could be potentially libellous. I'm not interested whether there is only a 0.00001% chance of legal action - if there is ANY threat to RWO potentially, we will come down hard on it.
5) Campaigns against fellow members - if we become aware of a member running a negative campaign against another through any medium, we will take appropriate action against the instigating member/s.
Bottom line - You're a guest on RWO, and you are expected to play by the rules of the house. You are all of course welcome to go to a less restrictive Swans messageboard, if you are able to find such a thing. This is not something we do for money or fame (god knows we get precious little of either!!!). We do it because we enjoy it, and the moment it STOPS becoming fun is the moment Des quits maintaining the place.
