I hope they get rolled, then they will stop taking players from SFL clubs who are still competeing in the finals.

If they dont want to compete in the comp then dont flog our players for finals.

Who were the players the SWANS Reserves took to Canberra last week? I know they took two from the Magpies but they had no more games to play .
There must be a big shortage of players to take players who haven't played for a team all year and then play them in Finals.

I'm surprised they're playing in the Canberra finals. Even when they finished minor premiers in the Sydney AFL they didn't play in the finals.

They got slaughtered last week in the first qualifying final. (21-18 to 6-9). How did they get from there to the prelim? What final system are they playing in Canberra?

P.S. It seems it was the semis last week despite waht it says on the official website....

http://www.sportingpulse.com.au/round_info.cgi?action=MATCH&fixture=2818662&id=2349240&team=BELCONNEN%20MAGPIES&client=%40AFL%20Canberra%401051%4015952%40%40%40%4 0%404%40AFL%20Canberra%20Seniors%401%40&r_type=1&pool=-1

.... so it was the semi that they lost not a QF.

It's a final 4 down here. 3 plays 4, loser eliminated. 1 plays 2, winner through to GF, loser to prelim to play winner from 3 v 4.
Swans play Queanbeyan this week with the winner to take on Belconnen in the Grand Final.
Sure it's not the most important thing on the clubs mind though!!

Spanner,

Four East Coast players were seconded as well and played last week against Belconnen.

Makes you really wonder about qualification systems and processes doesn't it .....

They got players from the Rams not SFL directly to play but all were from SFL clubs.

Sorry to disappoint you motorace_182, but the East Coast lads who played for the Swans in the second semifinal this year in Canberra were Luke Stanford, Darren Chapman, Rowan Bilkey and Matt Arbon ....

None of whom played with (or were even eligible for) the RAMS in 2003. Bit hard when you are aged 22 as in the case of three of them.

Sorry mate, most of the year they have taken players from the Rams to fill spots in the team. Thought there would have een a rule to make u play a certain number of game before being finals eligable
