Gavin Wanganeen is your number one choice for the All-Australian team.

As part of a poll for visitors to afl.com.au to select their own team, the Port Adelaide champion received the most number of votes to be included in the 2003 team.

He narrowly beat Collingwood skipper Nathan Buckley and Essendon full-forward Matthew Lloyd as automatic selections in the team.

The poll required afl.com.au users to pick their team in position, meaning they could pick two back-pocket players but only one centre-half-forward.

Interestingly, Fremantle?s Matthew Pavlich clearly received most votes for centre-half-back but also the second highest tally for one of the wing positions. So in your team, Pavlich is picked in the key defensive post whereas Saint Lenny Hayes and Brisbane?s Jason Akermanis get the two wing positions.

afl.com.au received about 1500 entries in little over a day and the most popular players were as follows: Wanganeen, Buckley, Lloyd, Pavlich, James Hird, Michael Voss, Adam Goodes, Shane Crawford, Chris Tarrant, Warren Tredrea, Matthew Scarlett, Michael Gardiner, Robert Harvey, Lenny Hayes, Phillip Matera, Peter Bell, Ben Cousins, Chris Judd, Jason Akermanis, Mark Ricciuto, Leo Barry, Rohan Smith, Brett Kirk, Scott Lucas and Chris Johnson.

Based on positions, your team is:

B: Wanganeen, Scarlett, C.Johnson
HB: Barry, Pavlich, R.Smith
C: Hayes, Buckley, Akermanis
HF: Hird, Tredrea, Judd
F: Tarrant, Lloyd, Matera
Foll: Gardiner, Voss, Crawford
Interchange: Goodes, R.Harvey, Bell Cousins
Emergencies: Lucas, Ricciuto, Kirk
