sorry it took so long but i have been flat out, anyway they are all online now, keep an eye out for some pretty cool things coming up, possibly a book, calendar and some other cool stuff, anyway hopefully I will be around next year as i would really love to expand the coverage and really target local papers and get them more involved.

May I congratulate Michael for his fabulous pictorial coverage of the season. His images are outstanding.

With Michael's permission, East Coast has consistently published his photos on our website and also the West Coast site. In addition ,the weekly coverage we have received in all four local papers has been incredible this year. Due in no small part to his photos that are sent to them.

Each week without fail, at least three of the papers have gladly used his photos to illustrate the story we send each Sunday night.

Newspapers love sporting clubs to send them copy, and if sent consistently with high quality photos like Michael's, you'll always get a run.

PS
Just for 'Remember Me'. A sporting club doesn't have to pay for its publicity on its websites, or in the local press. It's called building relationships over time, just as every footy club should do with its sponsors and prospective future players.

Thanks for the kind words Peter. Whilst this is my business and I do make money from it, it is a labour of love for me, I love the sport and i certainly wouldnt go to the lengths I do if i didnt, my aim when i first contacted Sydney AFL in early 2008 was to try and promote the game through local media and I think slowly but surely that is increasing as Peter has said, so hopefully next year there can be even more local community papers getting on board and pushing the game then maybe some main stream papers will see worth in the league, it has to start from the bottom and local businesses are the ones who are supporting the league so seeing their sponsored teams in local papers only strengthens the relationships and helps build new ones.

I have to admit though for me i get far more satisfaction having people like Peter, coaching staff of the teams, players, umpires, parents, SydneyAFL staff and fans coming up and having a chat and recognising my work and thanking me for it than any amount of money I make from it, it just reinforces to me that the effort I put in isnt going un-noticed, so thanks to everyone.
