NSW Youth Girl Teams announced.

Introduction:
In 2009, the Illawarra Youth Girls League was started to fill a gap from junior football (mixed) to senior womens football in Sydney and remains the only Youth Girls League in NSW. They set up a Interstate Challenge Series against the ACT Youth Girls and with two teams one Under 15's and one Under 18's. The first Interstate Challenge was hosted in Wollongong last year with the result being a loss in the Under 15's and a win in the Under 18'S. This year the game will be held on July 3 in Canberra. I recall reading somewhere a couple of years ago about some girls down that way who wanted to keep playing but were pissed off that once they'd hit the age where they could no longer play in junior mixed teams there was nowhere for them to go.
Great that such a league is now in existence.
