Why dont we have any passion, the first half slipped bye, crowd wasnt in the game. Its like we are going thru the motions, same with Adelaide, Ricmond and other previous games this year. Plus its horrible to watch most weeks.
Shocking to watching players kicking the leather off the football, bombing the ball into the forward line with no purpose, senior players not showing any experience. Structure all over the place and young players coming in for one game and out for the next.

Its time to change our way and style, attack the game, take risks, play all the kids. Rohan, DTL, Sumner, Johnston, Jetta and Johnson give them all a run in the side and see how good they are after 30 games, spend time developing the future. Eagles have done it and they are getting ready for a charge at the flag in the next few years.

What does horse want from his side this year?? we are know where near a top 4 side, Paul Roos style of footy worked 5-6 years ago and teams know how to play against it now, Collingwood and Geelong have brought footy to a new level and we need to adopt to change. Our general skills from foot and hand are very average, its time to have a good look and build for the future and bring the club forward, keep 2-3 senior key position players, who can help develop the younger players like Goodes.

Test some senior players on the market and see can we pick up some good picks in the draft.

The Swans are often awful awful to watch, and every now and again they show that they can play with passion , like in the last half of the last quarter against Freo. There seem to be so many players around the ball at stoppages, its hopelessly unattractive to even watch it as a sport you like to promote to the non believers. So you have to show them how other teams play the game.

Presumably you are aware that Rohan is injured, TDL is injured, Sumner was either injured today or suspended (not sure which), Johnston is injured, while Jetta and Johnson are already in the side (and have been for pretty much the whole season)?

So incredibly frustrating as we were like a steam train (till Razor Ray and his merry maggots pulled on the emergency brake from the rear carriage!) in that last quarter. Once we got a roll on I really thought we might sneak it. We were hard at it, showing great desperation and everything. but where was that for the other 3 quarters. We have the team to play much more attacking and to rip teams apart, but we never do it!

But we always play like that when the game is gone. Geelong, collingwood, st Kilda and now freo are games where we have come storming back from terrible positions and usually just miss but we occasionally get there. But I still think it is be ause we are told to play a man on man game until we are told we can break into space. So no one leaves their man until it is too late in the gameto rely on that style. I sometimes wonder whether our manic determination for the contest has actually held the side back a bit.

Liz I don't believe you've commented on the game at all yet - I'd be interested in your views...
