At last some common sense. The list of tired cliche's in this thread was getting boring.I would add the suggestion that we have a game plan or plans and have drilled it at practise. Also take away automatic selection regardless of form and let the players know they have to perform to be selected.

Acknowledge me in the grandstand lol then play hard contested footy, kick goals not behinds and put players in their positions (as stated before), let Goodsey roam all over the ground at will. Do not play anybody who is injured. Play good attacking football with a solid defence and if they win they can walk on water.

The way we are kicking for goal this Season we would kick a point at the 2 minute mark of the first quarter and have to wait 58 minutes for them to come and kick it out !!!

That is very optimistic - I think Ray would ping us for a centre square infringement at the opening bounce and we would have to wait the full 60 mins.

I am afraid that if Reg or Shaw take the first kick it will be out of bounds on the full and a 59minute 50 second wait for the ball to come back in.

I agree about Kirk. I think his absence is the biggest single factor. Explains our soft performances against Fremantle, Adelaide and last week. Our on-field leaders have gone missing too often.

FWIW Roos' view is it's form:

Roos told On the Couch on Monday night that a simple drop in form by all players was to blame for the sudden change in fortunes.
"We saw with St Kilda earlier on in the year, when your better players and your experienced players aren't playing that well (the team struggles)," he said.

http://www.foxsports.com.au/afl/afl-premiership/former-sydney-swans-coach-and-on-the-couch-panellist-paul-roos-explains-whats-going-wrong-at-his-old-club/story-e6frf3e3-1226115495678

Seems true as far as it goes but doesn't explain why we'd played so well against the Bombers a week ago.

For this week we have to show hunger for the contest. I'm expecting we will and will finish up with another of those "brave" losses.

I agree with this as well. The exact changes I'd like to see made, my only other change would be the inclusion of Mike Pyke. He's a goer, quick, menacing and plays with heart.

Give TDL a string of games to prove himself. The bloke knows how to kick a goal when so many don't.
