For those of us who can't stand a week off footy...
Giants have named mumford which i think is a panic after the essendon game. They have got to learn to win without him and it would be better for him to have the 3 week break.
Either way, giants by about 40 points.
Carlton are paying $11 the win . Wow.

The weather is perfect for footy. Beautiful clear skies and a crisp, light breeze.
Giants by 4-5 goals.

I just might leave the ice surrounds of the upper mountains and head down, I'll gamble I just might be able to pick up a ticket at the gate before they're all gone. ;)
Was thinking of checking out the tap room at Akasha before heading over.

Nah, I only really think that when Hawthorn are playing.

Who's calling the game? Derm and Duhwaaayne?

This is starting to look a bit like the Adelaide/North game; if GWS kicked straighter, it would be as good as over before half time.
What's the crowd like?

Bumper crowd here . Might break 10,000.
Paton is actually doing something which is unusual.

Decent enough crowd, fun atmosphere. GWS looked good, Josh Kelly's skills are sublime.

Cameron seems a shadow of the player he was the past couple of years

Membrey is looking pretty good, but we're no worse off without him, he would be handy for depth. Good to see him getting a game every week and enjoying his footy at the Saints.

I thought the Giants' fitness really told in the 4th quarter, which is saying something. They do need to look at their goal kicking though or they face a potential behind record finals match with the Crows.
Has there ever been a match featuring more current or former No. 1 draft picks? I don't think Giants v Suns ever featured this many.

Going to a giants game is like a swans game in the early edilison era. They have the makings of a good team bit the city is luke warm on them. A lot of fans have them as their second team. They haven't crafted a culture yet. Crowds are growing but not massively.
I wonder when there "plugger" moment will be. That was when sydney finally embraced the swans.
