Here are the stats from the AFL site. Over at the Bombers forum, they are complaining about their lack of tackling. Compared to us, I see what they mean.

Lots of good work all round - not surprised but gratified to see Schneiderman so high on the list. And funny how we now just take it for granted that the Captain will be at the top of the list.

Tackling is a stat that needs more investigation in my opinion.A high tackle stat could mean the player is beaten to the ball quite often or it could mean he is placing alot of pressure on the opposition.

For a player like Kirk, tackling is an essential, POSITIVE stat.

Kirky's job is a) restrict his opponent's opportunities through getting the ball himself, and b) if that fails, tackle him.

The fact that Kirky is leading the competition for tackling, whilst also racking up a consistent 20 possessions... is a sign that he's going to make it impossible for the AA selectors to ignore him this year.
