:) Finally after overcoming my fear of crowds I am heading to the
SCG with a couple of friends for the Kangaroos match my first
ever experience with a large crowd being a country lad I
assumed with a full country membership you could wander
between the members reserve and the general public seating
however Belinda at the membership office has informed me
that you must stay in either the stand or the concourse area I
would be interested to know which one you regular attendees
think is better.
cheers Ian

I have sat in both a few times over the years when I have gone with larger groups (I normally sit in the Brewongle) and I quite like the Members reserve.

I find the GA area has no real atmosphere.

(By the way, GA and Members are at opposite ends of the ground, so you would get very fit if you were interchanging between the two in any case lol):D

Thanks Damien I am sure it will be a great evening I am hoping
I might bump into some of the red and white onliners I really
enjoy the friendly banter and good humour. cheers Ian:)

before the game if you come in the main entrance for GA etc (you can access pretty much the whole ground from there anyway), you'll find quite a few of us in the cheersquad - Bay 22 right behind the goals at the scoreboard end. Quite a few of us gather down there before the game before heading off to seats and various other activities so feel free to come say hi!

I would suggest if you really have a fear of crowds .. book a seat in a stand... (you should be able to pay an extra amount not the full price). \

Also either leave before the finish or wait till 10 mins after.

If I don't go you can have my seats in O'rielly.. (but that is only a small chance). Good luck

Belinda is repeating the "party line".

There's always opposition fans, who have no right to be there ,
in the members sections.
Officials at one point used to check if you had a season ticket , but that has happened just once to me in the past three seasons.

Wait til close to the start of the game , then come and see if there's any free seats in Bay 7 - usually , there are.

If you wait until they all leave we can try and even get you into the after-match. We'll stand you at the far end near the 1996 Hawthorn game picture. Not many people there.

You are making a brave step mate. Good luck!

AA :) It is the Kangaroos match this Saturday we
are going to, watching the match part of me wished I was there
the atmosphere would have been great but 35,000 maybe I would have been a little uncomfortable still you dont know till you try. cheers Ian

Whoops sorry IH, in my excitement I didn't re-read the post correctly.

After the boys' performance on Saturday night there shoudl be a good turn out against the Roos, hopefully a nice 10-goal last quarter will round off the night nicely.

Are we sure its the Kangaroos game? Was just listening to an ad on WS-FM with BBBH promoting the Swans "Last home game of the season vs Essendon this Saturday at Telstra Stadium"....;)

A few people getting a little ahead of themselves perhaps?

A few people getting a little ahead of themselves perhaps? Well I wont have to worry about getting lost in the
crowd at the SCG if thats the case. cheers Ian:) :)
