As McVeigh out and Spriggs in each got their own thread, I thought Dempster, too, deserved one.

All I will say on his selection is that it's about time!

Good luck to the lad. It's a tough gig to be thrown to the Lions in your first senior game.

What was he doing all last year? He should've been put on the field then. We never know, could be a star player in the making. He'd better do us good.

My source said he expected Dempster and Spriggs to get a run but he thought it would be Schneider (ok on that one) and LRT to miss out.

Has the club actually announced the Dempster will make his debut (other than name the team). They usually do for debut games so that parents, etc can attend

I am so pleased for Seam Dempster. He certainly has earned his place in the team and I wish him every success in his senior debut which,IMO is long overdue.I am sure he will do himself and the swannies proud.:) :)

I hope he has a memorable debut. The last player I can remember on debut was Brett Kirk, when he kicked four goals against the Roos in a game we lost by 10 points in 1999.

Go Sean. Make a name for the #26 guernsey.

It was more Little Schneider i was thinking of. She's already suffered enough with Burkey.
