North Shore's General Manager Resigns

The following message is from Peter Jones, President, North Shore Football Club:


It is with regret I announce Darren Simpson's resignation as General
Manager of North Shore Australian Football Club.

Darren leaves us to take a position as a sports risk manager in the
insurance industry.

He leaves the club on Friday 31st January and I am sure you will all join with
me in wishing him every success in his new career.

This is not unexpected now that NSWAFL Commission have taken away the Clubs' General Manager's subsidy. Clubs will struggle to have to offer enough money for the position to attract people of the quality of Mr Simpson. I expect further announcements along this line from other clubs.
