Matera and Jones didn't train well

We know that the Eagles vice captain and Braun are both out of he game this Saturday. But according to SEN, Matera and Brett Jones didn't train well today, either. The Hun on Thursday is opening with the headline "Eagles Injury Woes".

I hope our squad have all come through the week okay.

yeah it looks like we're going into the game with no injury concerns whilst the WC have heaps

a mate of mine was at WC training (he's an evil WC man) and said that matera and bjones didnt look 100% but still got through the session - he reckons they'll play but are definitely underdone - this is great news for us if they do line up

Warning - The Age said they both trained well

    We should know tonight
You don't ban those who supported your opponent, you make them wallow in their loserdom by covering your victory! You sit them in the front row. You give them a hat! Toby Ziegler

yep, just read that too. jones seemed less of a certainty, but all matera seems to have to do is to have pulled up okay this morning and he'll be selected. they gave him a good working over.

might still be underdone come saturday however.

The SEN report seemed a bit vague (now there's a surprise) but it's a bit clearer this morning. Matera trained fully and okay apparently but was then seem arguing with the training staff (or discussing forcefully) so it was guessed that they weren't satisfied.

But Phil and Sampi often don't work well together so put him on.

And, after the disappointment of the past few years when injuries struck us hard, I reckon we owe the Swans training staff a beer or two this year.
