Vogels...could he be the key defender we need

Interestingly that was suggested a few times last year...

One thing that it does give is a KPP who could play deep in defence and, in need, take the kick-in with the new "hurry up" rules.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Vogels would be great against leading forwards such as Lloyd as it his natural tendency as a forward to play in front plus Voges has the speed to do this consistently. I saw many times that he worked to get the front position on Lloyd and effectively got the spoil.

Yes I did. Still believe it.

Nevertheless, with the addition of Ted Richards, it means we have a heck of a lot more flexibility with our KPP decisions. Depends on what we want to do with Leo "The Greatest Mark Ever" Barry. But at least now if he is getting gorillarised by a FF, we can swing a few changes.

Voges won the Hampdon(sp?) League best and fairest as a CHB. Last year he was playing out of position. I'd love to see him in defense.

    Hampden, for future reference.
He was hero of the week in round nine last year.

I am sure you did Wazza. There is room for both of them should LRT develop into a footballer.

Vogels as a future FB, LRT as a CHB I was (wishfully?) thinking, seeing as he just played on Lloyd.

Recruiting Richards as a forward is starting to make sense now if that's the plan.
