Saturday's game-anyone up to go to the Aussie Rules Club?

    Hey gang,
despite myself being near mental with pride & excitement about Sydney FC & the A League Grand Final this year, I want to still have a squizz at the young pups going around against North in Canberra on Saturday.

I'm assuming the match will be on either Channel 10 or Foxtel. Anyone up to catch up and watch the game there over a few cold drinks? (I know Beaussie never says no to a drink or 5 )

I of course won't be able to attend, but I'm just letting people know that the match is being covered by Channel 9 and NOT 10 or Fox as is normally the case for Saturday games. So check your local guides to see if the game is on Ch 9 or WIN for those in country/Tasmanian areas at 2pm.

Nine have the rights to the game, I take it the 5pm coverage on Fox would be a replay only and that the game would still be shown LIVE on Ch 9 at 2pm.

So are we guaranteed to get it live into Sydney at all?

You should check the program guides JF. It's amazing what you can find on the net.

I'm picking myself up off the floor. What causes this late 'kindness' by Ch9 to Sydney based AFL supporters? Is it because Eddie wants to watch the game?

Maybe the new CEO may have something to do with it. he probably wants to watch a footy game live.

Don't assume anything will be different this season with Channel 9. Friday night's NAB Cup clash is still scheduled for a 12:30am replay.

Interestingly, Channel 10 will be broadcasting Hawthorn vs Richmond live from 4pm on Saturday concluding at 6:30pm

I wish Channel 10 had all the TV rights to football.

That aside, Jules I'll let you know on Saturday what my plans are. At this stage, wathcing the game at the club sounds good.
