All of the 3aw team had LRT as norm smith medalist by 3/4 time. I think the same could be said of MMM.

The "Norm Smith" panel have been a joke even since Buckley got one.

Just shows the folly of calling BOG early...you can't effectively disappear as LRT did...apart from a couple of pack mark "assists" in the last quarter when the game is on the line, & expect to be recognised as BOG. Our poll has it pretty right.

If he had kicked say 2 more goals he would have been right in it. for BOG...& we would have won easily. It was never going to happen when he so evidently had the "yips", & if we had lost in the last minutes we would have been saying he cost us the game...with some justification...perhaps plus NOG!

Fair enough. Same could be said for Jude Bolton too. He was awesome in that last quarter and if only he got those 2 snaps to go through the middle, he would also be in the running.

The Norm Smith panel had the following:

    11 - Judd
    6 - Fosdike
    4 - Buchanan, Kirk
    ...
    1 - LRT

The Norm Smith panel changes every year (and last year it had a representative each from 3AW and 3MMM).

    Who were they ?

God I hope Sam Newman wasnt one of them. His Grand final "special comments" were irritating beyond belief.

    I'll check tomorrow.

As I recall it was a guy from 3AW (well known, but can't recall his name), maybe Quartermain, a couple of from the print media.
