Today's Sydney Morning Herald website has a great photo gallery of Swans pictures over the past 25 years.
Here
There are over 60 photos included; my favourite is picture No. 18 - Paul Kelly flying high over Glenn Archer in the '96 Grand Final.

The number of wrong captions is staggering-- I think it's indicative of how little the SMH knew about footy at the time the photos were first printed; and they've just reprinted the existing captions without correction.
The most obvious howler is the statement that Lockett kicked a "goal" to put Sydney into the 1996 GF.
Some good shots, though. Starts embarrassing, but steadily gathers momentum to a happy ending.
How appropriate was it to see #39 back on the forward line kicking goals for the Swans during the heritage round? Fantastic stuff.
I saw 54 and thought "they didn't need to include that" then saw 55 and 56 and thought "ahhhhhhhhh, well done!".
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time
Since when could Collingwood supporters spell words properly?Originally posted by stellation

I wake up to number 16 every morning. It is a signed by Kel edition.
It says "To A-L. Best wishes. Paul Kelly"
My brother(Carlton supporter) got it signed and said "Do you know how to spell A-L.?"

Some players there that I haven't thought about in a while, Craig O'Brian, John Stevens
The scary thing is the number of wrongly identified players still appearing in photo captions in the Sun Herald THIS YEAR. It really is staggering to see them get it wrong week in week out.Originally posted by SimonH

I'm on the Chandwagon!!!
If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.
That pisses me off no end. It's just lazy jouralism. I take it you mean the photo of Schneider being labelled as Grundy.Originally posted by Mike_B

Another scary thing is that I know the blokes in photo no. 37
