    Note to Barry Hall

    Don't punch anyone.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Didn't have a chance to punch anyone, because his hands were otherwise occupied: holding the footy every time he went near it.

The afl.com.au report said "arguably the greatest performance of his 203-game career". He's so consistent that that's a very tough call to make; he's quite possibly played a better H&A match, but off the top of my head I can't think of a more complete performance by him in a huge game.

Two big free kicks in his favour, as well-- he's become quite the umpire's pet!

The 2 frees were a surprise (almost soft, even). Should've had 1 or 2 more too.

In regards to the comment 'best game of his career etc', although i haven't seen his games with St Kilda etc, in the time i've been watching him play with Sydney, that would have to be the most complete performance i've seen.

He kicked 6.1 i'm pretty sure, with the only behind being that over the shoulder shot late in the 4th.

And those 6 goals, not all of them were gimmies... he kicked a couple from fairly decent angles, awesome, just damn awesome!

Not to mention MOL... but we'll save that for another thread!

The 2 were a suprise. Especially given that I thought the one he got for being held on to should've been a free to Freo for too high.
