    ## Helpful Hint of the day

    Multi-Quote Posts

Look for the button with the " and + on a sheet of paper, (the second last one on the right of the bottom line of each post.)

Click that button for each post you wish to quote. Then select the "Quote" button.

A reply window will open with each post quoted that you selected.

You can then reply to multiple posts, in just one post.

"Build it and they will come" was the theory. Seems most are keeping away, and it's sadly out of date.

    Include a Link.

    How to get this:

    http://www.news.com.au/dailytelegrap...006065,00.html

    to this

    Article in the Daily Terror

When you include a link, it generates URL tags around the Link and resuses the link name as the descriptive part of the URL tag. This part of the tag is highlighted after the insert is complete. Just type over the highlighted part and your links will look more "professional".

*** I've changed the "["(square) brackets to "("(curved) brackets just so you can see the code.

    Before
    (URL="http://www.news.com.au/dailytelegraph/story/0,22049,21376334-5006065,00.html") http://www.news.com.au/dailytelegrap...006065,00.html(/URL)

    After
    (URL="http://www.news.com.au/dailytelegraph/story/0,22049,21376334-5006065,00.html")Article in the Daily Terror(/URL)

The part in the bold italics is the descriptive part of the URL statement. Change this and your links will look much better.

Change the style of your text.

Simply highlight the text you want to change then click on the button style you wish to add to your text.

    Change:

    My Text

    to

    My Text

All I did was highlight the "My Text" and click as many buttons as I wanted.

    Good luck.

Reduce the size of your signature

If you find that signatures seem to blend in with the main parts of posts, do your bit in helping to differentiate them by reducing the font size of your sig. Simply wrap
    PHP Code:
    [size=1] [/size
around the contents of your sig.

    Regularly check the Announcements

Announcements are our way of communicating events to all forums at once.
Announcements are listed at the top of each forum.

    Browse Using New Post Indicators
You can use the icons next to the forums as an indicator of which ones have new posts.

The noticeboard icon with 2 sheets on it ( - Forum has new posts icon) shows that the forum has new posts while the icon with 1 ( - Forum does not have new posts icon) shows no new posts in the forum.

Once in the forum, threads with new posts will have the titles in bold and you can go to the first unread post by clicking on the down arrow that appears before the thread title ( - View first new post button).

Nope. Order doesn't matter as long as the start tags and end tags are in the correct order.
