Reality is not the same as hopefully when using the predictor.

Three days later, 4th on the ladder...still think they'll miss? They're certainly finding some form.

I just had a dream the swans were going to win the flag this year, so put some money on them at 9-1 on sportstab. Not sure if my subconscious self is seeing our biggest threat for a flag in West Coast fall into a heap and thus conjuring up such high hopes for us, but I think if we can beat the Blues comfortably and then beat the egirls at home (albeit with many of their best out), we will steamroll the Pies and Hawks and be favourites come finals time.

Just about all opposition teams (and their supporters), apart from perhaps Adelaide, will fear us come finals. I feel it guys!

Well after the WCE loss to Port I know one thing for sure...this game on sat night is going to shape the seasons of both clubs.

WCE lose yet again at home and they can say good bye to a top 4 position and probably kill their confidence

We beat WCE and we can definately win the next 4 games vs richmond, melbourne (in canberra), lions and st kilda leading into a round 20 blockbuster with Collingwood @ MCG (cant wait for that one it'll be a classic).

So if all goes well, a run of 7 in a row since a loss to Geelong can set us up for another flag.

    C'MON YOU BLOODZ!!!!

Two games lost by a point and another two by less than two goals... How much are they going to be hurting us when it comes down to deciding the top 4???

Hopefully not as much as losing those games by 40 points plus and having a % of 101.

our % is 3rd best in the comp and if we can manage to beat richmond and melbourne by a @@@@load then we will really be in good shape to clinch a top 4, or at least a home final.

however, as the pattern has been since 2004: we're 12th in attack and 4th in defence

geelong is miles ahead on both

Unless teams like the Roos and Hawthorn start alternating between winning by 200 points one week, and losing by 5 points the next, it won't matter how much we beat the likes of Richmond and Melbourne by. We have our rivals covered for percentage, just not premiership points. We just need to get the 4 points week-in, week-out.

It may be a blessing in disguise that we have top 4 contenders collingwood and hawthorn in the final 2 rounds.
If we manage to win or get close it will get us hardened for the real thing when finals start.

I'm really worried about the last 4 games though. We may not even win 1 of them all thing being equal.

Geez im a pessimist with the swans at times!

If they are lucky and they win away game at the G against Collingwood the there are some remote possibilities that they might finish 4th providing that other results will go our way. But we must not drop any home games, otherwise we're in trouble.
