Bevan played 17 games but didn't get a single vote. Quite remarkable!

So does that mean he will end up with negative scores on RWO???

    I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

    Rnd 13 v Geelong

A cold and wet and sunny day in Geelong. The Swans played wet and soggy, while the Cats played bright and cheery.
2 goals to half time, against the all conquering cats, put the swans behind the 8-ball, again. The wet weather didn't help, but somehow they managed to outscore the cats in the 3rd term before stormong home in the 4th. While the swans got a slight sniff of victory, getting to within 11 points, the cats did enough to claw onto their well earned victory. Gary Ablett was superb, as were the rest of his team mates.

Kirk, the slowly getting back to form Goodes, Schmidt and O'Loughlin were amongst the best.

    Rnd 14 v Fremantle

Magic's Milestone. 261 games in the Red and White, eclipsing Rantall's record 260.
Could the swans do it for Micky. Although dominating for most of the game, the scoreboard told a different story.
23 behinds, 11 goals, in good conditions. Leading by 2 points at half time, the swans continued their inaccuracy and dominance, to "run away" with the game in the final 2 quarters.

Goodes showed glimpses, O'loughlin played like someone much younger, McVeigh, Richards and Fosdike all put showed promise. C Bolton kept the ever dangerous Pavlich to 2 goals, while Kirk shut down Haselby. Malceski and Tadhg combined well, with J Bolton seeming more focused at the ball.

Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

Maybe Kirk will take out the TLM?
He was pretty solid over the remainder of the season. But so were Goodes and B2, oh I just don't know, it is so exciting.

Goodsey's still showing "glimpses". He hasn't kicked in fully yet.
    It IS exciting isn't it??

(Seriously ... have I got nothing to do or what???)

    Rnd 15 v Carlton

Slow starts have been an issue, a big issue. Playing the lowly blues, should stop this trend. Well....
First 4 goals to the blues and things are not looking good. A finals spot is looking shaky, and a top 4 spot is looking impossible. Now this.
Slowly the tide was stemmed and started to flow the other way. a 2 goal (1/4 time) deficit is turn into a 4 goals half time lead with Davis picking up 3 goals in the quarter. Tireless work in the ruck from Spider - 30 hits outs and 4 goals, Hall had another 4. Malceksi was in great form, while Schneider strung 2 good games in a row.
Kennelly continued to struggle with knee problems. Top 4 spot still slightly possible.

    Rnd 16 v West Coast

Time to atone for 2 one point losses in the last 2 games against the Eagles. Hall is in doubt as is Kennelly, both are late withdrawals, and Grundy and Vogels come in. It is also the return game on Cousins after his exile, for most of the year, in front of a parochial crowd. WC dominated the first term, but did not show this on the scoreboard, the swans stayed in touch. The second qtr was very even, as Cousins picked up possessions at will. Scores are tied at 1/2 time. Leo Barry has gone off with a hamstring injury, and it showed in the 3rd, when West Coast ran away to lead by almost 5 goals. The swans, as we are now used to came storming home, to lose by a smaller margin than the rest of the game told. Eagles by 2 goals.

O'Keefe was the stand out for the swans, but he alone could not win the game,

    WEST COAST 2.6 6.9 13.14 16.16 (112)

    SYDNEY 2.3 6.9 9.9 15.10 (100)

    GOALS - West Coast: A Hansen 4, B Staker 3, D Cox 3, C Judd 2, R Jones, D Chick, A Hunter, Q Lynch.

Oooh, look out Eski, Captain and Spida are on your tail. I don't think the Eski had enough great games on the back half of the season to maintain his position, sorry Swantastic.
