    Another 1st Half No Show

Ok, I posted a similar thread after the Hawthorn game, saying that 2 weeks in a row (Adelaide and Hawthorn) we had started badly and it was a major concern. It happened again last week against Brisbane, but we were all willing to overlook it since we won. Now after last night, some serious questions have to be asked.

4 weeks in a row with poor starts is totally unacceptable. We are in BIG trouble. And next week we cant rely on getting another 10 goals in the final quarter to beat Melbourne again, so we better turn up at the start.

Maybe we need a longer warm up before the game. Something, anything...

Sydney have been a slow starting team (especially in home games) for many years now, and Roos better do somthing about it sooner rather than later because in my opinion it has become cronic

And how bad were we out of the centre in the first quarter. Roosey has to get the centre bounce combo correct from next week.

What gets on my goat is the ease with which other sides just stroll out of the centre without any pressure at all. What about some hard tackles. What is it, do we stand on the wrong side of our players, are we intent on tagging rather than all 4 in the centre making a bee line for the agot, which is the object of the game.

We just do not have a player like Sam Mitchell who just hits the footy hard at every bounce. Our blokes don't even seem to want to be on the end of a handpass.

Get this part of our game 20% better and we will start to get better game starts, and our forwards will be one out on more occasions which must translate into higher scores.

    And another statistic:
    Round 16
That was the last time the Swans had more scoring shots than the opposition, when they had 25 scoring shots to the not-so-mighty Carlton's 24. Though it's good to know the team is very efficient in its use of the ball, they just can't keep relying on more accurate kicking to get them home all the time, especially against the top teams.
