    Location of Blacktown Stadium

Does anyone know where exactly in the Blacktown area the new stadium is being built. Appaarently it will be ready for pre-season games as soon as next year.

The Swans will surely be playing a few games there next year pre-season and I wouldn't be surprised if they might even sneak in a premiership game to check the interest. However with a capacity of 15,000 I think, it won't be hard to fill

Ha ha, there is absolutely no way the Swans will play a premiership game at Bankstown unless it is an away game against the second Sydney side in 2020.

Huh where did Bankstown come into this...

Can't see a new stadium getting off the ground in a bit over a year, considering it hasn't even been through a development application with the local council AFAIK.

There is no way a premiership game will be played there.

As far as the Swans go it's for pre season matches only.

It's at the Olympic Baseball Complex, on the Blacktown side of the M7. Rooty Hill is on the other side of the road.
I haven't seen it, but it has been said on here that it is nearly finished.

Thanks, yes I know where that is.

Are they converting the baseball complex? It would probably be a white elephant post Olympics.

At least it will be easy to get to by car.

Not a conversion, a new stadium in the complex I believe.

It's built behind the current baseball fields.
There is a ground there already that is used for the local AFL (Auskick, etc.). I saw it when they were doing the "cup tour" early in 2006.

It's only a short walk (15 mins) from Rooty Hill station.
There's a bonus if I ever saw one.

And you're prepared to walk in Rooty Hill?

More likely you'll find shuttle buses from Blacktown.
