    Injuries

According to the AFL website, Ablett is listed as injuring his groin and will be out for 3 weeks. Who will come in?

Any word on whether Spider may be back?

I hope Barlow comes in. But it will probably be Matthews, since they are a similar sort of player.

He was listed as having a 3 week groin injury on the scoreboard as the teams came out for their warm-up on Saturday night. I spent a few minutes furiously scanning the ground looking for Barlow's mot-top or even Benny's SBAS - before seeing that the no 20 had made a miraculous recovery, even by Swans' standards.

He did take a knock to the knee at some point during the game and I'm not sure how much further part he took in the match.

Moral - don't pay any attention to whatever injury list is published on the Swans' website.

I laughed at that too Liz.

Ablett wasn't limping at the airport...mind you I was feeling so sick I didn't even care that it was the Swans sitting right there. They could have been all on crutches for all I cared at that stage.

I saw Spider on the Fox Sports channel on Monday night and he said that he wouldn't play against Port but was hoping to play against Brisbane.

I spoke to Spida at Club Swans and he was confident he'd front against the Lions - and announced the same thing later that night.

Schmidt and Playfair were the other injured guests but no idea when they'll be back.

This site is usually pretty good, though it relies on reports given of course

This is a little callous, but I hope he is injured.
