I, sadly, will be at work.

    Easy, he doesn't have Foxtel.

How can you go to The Rising Sun, when you have Foxtel at home?

Some times i prefere to mingle with other Swans supporters and some times i prefere to sit at home.

I never ever plan any thing when the Swans are playing, and if mrs swantastic knows whats good for her she wont either.I i say i'm not going i get the silent treatment for a few days, but she will get over it.

Football is my life from march up untill september.

I even didnt go to my brother-in-laws engagement party a few years back because the Swans were playing in a final over at wet toast.

Parties/weddings etc should be banned in September.

Considering that I have no friends & that nobody took up the offer of Foxtel at my place, I think I'll be there myself.

I'm supposed to be working at the Cats-Bombers match at the Dome, but I can't abandon my team (and watching it on delay is just not the same)

    See you there ST!

Because the footy is as much a social occasion as it it an actual sporting contest. I really noticed that last weekend. I saw friends I hadn't seen for nearly 6 months. I was as happy to see them as I was for the actual game to start.

We went out after the game to Patony's as per normal. We went there despite the Swans losing because we like each other's company & WANT to be together as friends. By the end of the night you had to remind yourself you were actually at a game at all. It is good when we lose too, as you have people to let off steam with who know how you're feeling. Weirdly we often have more fun after losses. After the 2006 GF you'd have thought we won. Was a strange night.

Following footy is as much about belonging to a tribe. If the tribe wants to meet up for a feed a chat (& the odd chance to start drawing on each other with textas at half time ), then that makes for a fun day.

I remember the days of watching Swans games at Easts Leagues. You'd get 3-500 regulars in there at times. It was like you were at the game. People would start chanting & barracking. It was fun!

PS:- I'll have to bribe people with offers of pizza & alcohol next time I think.
