Would've done a better job of it than Tadhg did whilst he was up there.

We seem at times to use the forward line to hide players who are injured or playing poorly, and then wonder why we can't kick goals.

buchanan should of gone down back he was marking okay but kicking like a spider with 6 legs.

i find the lack of adventure in our player movements quite frustrating.

Its up there with players hesitating with under 5 minutes to go and 5 goals down. Surely you just move it on, i mean its near impossible to win but it is a lot harder if you stand around holding the ball still.

Leo to the forward line is the perfect example of a move that should of been tried.

I think it was Optus Oval.
Leo's first game was 1995, Rd 22 v Pies at the SCG.

I remember because a group of about 20 mates hired the ACB box at the SCG. Late in the game, Leo had a kick from the 50, just inside the boundary in front of the old hill and I told all and sundry he would kick it because (a) he is a good kick and (b) I was pissed.

    He kicked it.

did anyone notice that ted richards played up forward for most of the first half?

would have worked if he was the lead up forward rather than buchanan.

there was also a couple of times in the game when jude bolton has the urge to handball rather than clearly kick at goal and also snap rather than handball. this was the first time i missed adam schneider.

Yep, remember the game and goal well. Dermie's last ever game and one T.Lockett dragged us over the line and put the Bears into the finals.

Screamer of a mark too IIRC.........

My mate looked at me after he'd kicked it and said "Who the hell was that???... Doesn't matter.... He can play again next year!!"

It would be interesting to see Leo running in for a set shot and taking 2 or 3 bounces then run into the man on the mark. If he was a forward option why was he moved back in the first place?

We had better other forward options coming through and Dunkley retiring leaving Schauble (ahhh, lets imagine what this would be like if he had continued playing ) at FB so another defender was required, IIRC.
