    Smile Leo Barry the Forward

Just a thought that Leo Barry would make an interesting change up forward, he likes to take the big grab & used to play up there in his very early footy days! This would give us a good marking option up forward & would remove him as a liability from the back line! Couldn't do any harm to try it anyway!

There was a reason he was moved back.
The eternal connundrum "what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object" was finally solved when David Hasselhoff punched himself in the face.

He only has left hand drive. He always turned onto his left foot which made him as predicable as a Kevin 07 press release. If he used his crazy run to get onto his left from the forward line he would probably end up in the back pocket by the time he had thrown off his pursuers. So really not a good idea to play him up front for the one great grab a season.

When Leo played up forward you would swear he was having a few beers with the boys on the HFF because he sure as hell went missing for long periods.

First ever Swans game I went to , he kicked 4 v St.Kilda at home.
    We lost , 126-118 I think.
But that was the day I became addicted to the game.

So we have Leo to blame for that too...
"Davis...Davis has kicked 2...he snaps from 40...dont tell me, dont tell me, hes kicked a goal....unbelievable stuff from Nick Davis, can you believe this, he's kicked 3 final quarter goals and Swans are within 3 points..."

Probably told this story before, but I was at Leo's first game.
I think it was Optus Oval.
Anyway, my then wife was there and as Barry ran onto the ground for the first time, she yelled out "Go Leo!" and he looked around with thsi look on his face. The look was either....

"One of my fri3ends is in the crowd"
    or
    "Holy crap, somebody knows me!"

Either way it was a funny moment.

We have to try something different with him because, I am afraid, I think his time down back has come to an end, maybe even his career. I respect and will always love the guy for what he has done for the club but seriously, his time is surely up. He is too slow, makes horrible decisions way too much and I think he just isn't up to it anymore. I am not bashing his good name or anything, I just think it is time...feel free to berate me or whatever, it is just my two cents.

Yet again #21 was one of our best players today.
"As a player he simply should not have been able to do the things he did. Leo was a 185cm, 88kg full-back and played on some of the biggest, fastest and best full-forwards of all time, and constantly beat them." Roos.
Leo Barry? you star! We'll miss ya, ''Leapin''.
