I love the "Aussie rules giants" bit.

The Swans website is now running a story about his voice echoing down the corridor soon. Who we believe? The swannies or a couple of Irish newspapers?
Those who have the greatest power to hurt us are those we love.
Cavanagh says he is having a "slight change" of mind about coming, mark it down now he will be coming. Season will be finished soon and he will be looking for holiday, once he gets here the jobs 3/4 done.
Nothing more than a puff peice to appease the locals.

Interesting that the Swans website thinks the Coney deal is done.

Exactly my question, what the hell is a starlet? Is it is female star? Is it a little star? Is it a type of bird....oh that's a starling?
Seriously, I have watched a fair bit of Gaelic football on Setanta & can see lots and lots of their footballers being able to at least cut the mustard in the AFL. Ok in their game you can't mark & don't tackle, but I was surprised to see some bigger framed players running around who I think would make great defenders in footy.
Give em a Sherrin & see how well they kick the thing. The games are really very similar in so many ways. Centre half backs, etc etc
To be honest as somebody who follows AFL and & futbol I really enjoy the constant flow of Gaelic football games. No chipping in defence, no knocking it out of bounds to waste time, no stopping after taking a mark and then waiting an age to take your kick, only to chip it backwards to a guy who does the same.

The term "starlet" is quite often used in soccer to describe a particularly promising young star.
Here's the final word on whether Coney comes or not:
