Oh yeah - Goran. God, he was 12 out of 10 on the mad scale. Without a doubt, in the top 10 sporting maddies of all time and one of my faves.

And no1 for revelling in and showcasing his own madness, which is really to be admired even more than being mad in itself.

Leo has left his mark on history's page.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Obviously ... Leo Barry - you star!!!

"Leo Barry has the decision making skills of a junkie."

    I'll always remember that!!
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.

Back to Goran, how good is this madness? I mean, if you don't get the genius of Goran after this, then you're not mad enough to get madness.

He should be remembered as someone who got more than anyone ever should out of a professional career given that they had no left foot. Or right foot.

Seriously, he plays football and we all cringe when he puts his foot to the ball

I lover his runs, but the mark is what has left an imprint somewhere in my memory cells.
Hopefully the memory cells that alcohol leaves alone

I will actually remember him for his commitment to the cause....

He has been one of the most courageous Swans Ive seen, taking on more talented and bigger opponents. Despite the horrid free kick count, he made up for lack of natural brilliance with "mad levels" of courage, which most would describe as poor decision making, but the impact that has had on his colleagues is not to be underestimated.

That mark I will remember for ever, the mad low percentage yet amazingly effective runs from deep back I think were deranged genius..... the character of the man and his commitment to the Red and the White.....Godlike!!!!

Gotta luv it when Leo runs out of defence, this way that way backward up down in out bounce show the ball, and I will remember both things when he is gone, but compared to Dunks, Leo is a genius off the boot, and Dunks is remembered as one of our greatest backmen, because well, he was. So add in the mark and you get one hell of a player

The thing was, he did it really really well.

Pretty rare that he actually got caught during one of his runs.
You'd have thought that the oppositions would have figured him out a bit.

Having said that he ran a lot less in more recent times.
I put that down to Roos restricting Barry's run, or maybe he was just losing too much puff that way.
Either way, recently I asked Roos through this forum to free up leo and let him run again.
The following couple of weeks he was back to his best runs (almost)
    Coincidence?
    I think not

I'll also happily take any credit due for the 2005 falg

I think Dean Laidley clearly qualifies as mad.

I didn't know we won the falg in 05? I'm happy to give you credit for it - whatever it is.
