What would you like to see, next year?

I've already got one suggested improvement -> Stats page - RedAndWhiteOnline.com Messageboard

Here's your chance to offer reasonable suggestions or ideas for next year.
I won't guarantee all suggestions will occur, but I will do what I can.

I have some ideas of things I'd like to fix/build, but I'd like to here from you, as it is just as much your site as it is mine or frogs.

    Go ahead, we're listening.
"Build it and they will come" was the theory. Seems most are keeping away, and it's sadly out of date.

I think we've been through this before, but here goes.

Move the match reports, both seniors and reserves out from RWO news to a subforum, or make RWO news a proper subforum. At the moment, the only ways to get to it is to either link from the homepage (sorry I hardly ever go there and I suspect many are in the same boat) or a the small section on top of the forum main page (which many miss out on).

I just think that many visitors miss out on the excellent reports.

Those forums still show up on the "new posts" list, and they are accessible from the homepage, and the side bar menu. The reason behind it was to encourage people, to move outside the forum.
There is more to this site than the forum.
Except for the Reserves and Sydney AFL reports, it seems that people are interested in the seniors reports anyway, as you may have noticed we had a distinct lack of volunteers, and a number of weeks we had no report at all, except when Liz felt obliged to do one.
And I constantly see questions asked when it is all on the front page, or linked to from there. Videos linked to that are already on the videos page. Stats asked about that are on the stats page, etc, etc.

As for visitors, most would come through the homepage first.

In other words I won't be changing that very soon.
I put a lot of work into setting it up that way for a reason.

In the forums it would be good to be able to see the start date of a thread not just the date of the last entry.

That's standard vBulletin stuff, I'd prefer not to change that too much, as we will be upgrading to a new version before the start of the 2009 season.

I'm looking for ideas for the site in general, more than the forums.

I guess you know you've had too much to drink when a doctor is yelling "CLEAR" in the ER

I actually don't go there that much.
Usually just for the TV times every couple of weeks.
Having to type Sydney Swans in my address bar wastes 11 letters (and a space bar)

Really though, I think it is an important link to have on RWO
The Rwo menu is the perfect place

TV channels and game times are on RWO, in the Fixture which is in the RWO Menu!!

But I will add a link to the good ship SS.com.au. Just to save your precious little fingers.
