now it's arrogant to agree with roos' and the selection committee?

barry has never come close to being dropped when more than half fit. he's lost a fair bit by age and rule changes, but he's still given a job on a top-three forward each week.

    Good news.

Hope we can find a full back during 2009 so Leo can play his time out in a pocket.

Glad to see him in the team... As with Crouch.

But only on the proviso that we drop them to the reserves as soon as their form drops off.

Leos fine provided that hes not given the best or even second best forward each week. Really its time for some others like richards, LRT or grundy to take over the role he has played.

Barry set to sign for one more year with the Swans

SYDNEY Swans? coach Paul Roos has confirmed that the club has offered veteran defender Leo Barry a one year contract extension.
One year deal for Leo seems fair imo. There are no standouts in the current squad who can take the fullback position.

Roosy stance on Davis is fair, although I feel he will be traded for benefit of both parties.

When you see that surgery list it totally explains the dysfunction of our backline for 1/2 the season. Unbelievable.

I'm happy that Leo has another year. His mark is so iconic and the club can take great advantage of this in his farewell season.
He goes around pretty well and I can't see anyone on the list that can do a better job or a viable trade option that could come in and replace him.

I don't begrudge it but its risky. Leo has appeared slow and with poor awareness all season. He's also struggled with the new rules. I can't see that changing over the off season.

Let's hope the match committee is brave enough to drop him IF he doesn't warrant selection.

I would have thought it was far more arrogant to believe you knew more about the game than a 356 gamer and also premiership-winning coach.

I really don't see why saying I think Leo Barry is justifiably on our list is arrogant. Perhaps you should look up the definition.
Officially on the Reid and Sumner bandwagon!

    It's not arrogant at all.
    It's an opinion.
I also think that Leo is fairly set in our top 22.
Hope he has a great season next year

I'm guessing "headless chooks" and "polygamists" respectively.
