    Leo quits as captain

Barry steps down from captaincy - realfooty.com.au

So who will be the replacement? Someone from the leadership group (Who is in this group - I've lost track. Jude, Kennelly, Ablett, ROK?, Goodes?) Or will it be a young bolter like McVeigh?

Or will 2 captains be sufficient?

I prefer Kirk as sole captain.
I only support one team: The SYDNEY SWANS!!!!!

Well, that was sudden and unexpected. I guess it really does open the door for Goodsey if he's interested.

I reckon that was predictable. If he's been signed on for one more year with no guarantees he'll be an automatic selection, it makes sense for him to step down now. Goodes must be the frontrunner to assume the third captain mantle, given he was a close loser to Bolton at the start of 2008.

I know it's getting old but give the job to Kirk and Kirk alone.

    Good job by Leo.

I agree with the one captain (kirk) bit, but how do you tell B2, who has been the corner stone of our backline for the past few years or so. that he is no longer captain.

Leave it at 2, until the next person retires/stands down then leave it at one.

Surely Roos' kids must be nearly old enough by now?

Roos was just on SEN saying that it opens the door for a young player to join the leadership group. No mention of whether another captain will be appointed.

They failed to nominate for the draft.

According to the news, Goodes is tipped to take over, however, that could just be speculation on their part.

They'll be off to the Lions if they're any good....father/son rule.

Sydney scolarship? Or Western Sydney zone in a few years?
