I think you'll find Roos nominated Fosdike as our best so he clearly disputes your assessment.

I'll dispute it, so I guess it's not undisputed. I thought that Fosdike was the best on ground in the 2005 GF and should have been given the Norm Smith.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

RWO thought he was the 3rd best Swan on the ground.

That poll is wrong and just goes to show how wrong rwo posters are

Funny how Roosy can be so wrong about Nick Davis and so right about Fozzy!
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

My memory of the 05 Norm Smith is that Fosdike ran second behind Judd, and daylight was third?

That is pretty close to reality as far as the actual votes went.

As to the reality of who should have won, certainly who was most influential in the Swans win, I'm firmly in the Monty camp.

I might add, Staker wasn't far behind Monty as far as influencing the result Sydney's way.
