Looks like Goodsey will be overlooked. Shame.

If you don't give it to Goodesy who are you going to give it to???

    McHack?
    Ablett?

I'll be incredibly upset if Goodesy doesn't get the gong. What more does the club want from him? I think he's more than earned the stripes.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

Is McVeigh in the leadership group yet? Because I could very well see him being in there next year if he's not.

I know that being reported three times in half a dozen games isn't exactly the best job application for an aspiring captain, but I still feel a bit sorry for Goodesy on this one.

At the start of the season Roos assured us that Goodes was next in line. Now it seems we need young blood in the captaincy. Isn't that what the leadership group is for?

The club of dual Brownlow medallists who've not been made captain is a pretty exclusive one. As far as I can tell, the only members are Goodesy and Robert Harvey.

Keith Greig, Ian Stewart, Bobby Skilton, Bill Hutchison, Dick Reynolds were all captains - I haven't looked back any further than that. Anyone else?

Annie i'm on the Goodes wagon for captaincy. But Roosey is talking about a 23 - 26 year old. Dependable, fearless, versatile and outstanding clubman. Yes it stands out like dogskanckers. Come on down Bevo!
