Some ppl here can never be happy with Goodes. He gets asked "would you like to play on Judd next Saturday?" So, he answers 'no'..he'd get eaten up by the naysayers on here..he says 'yes' and gets eaten up by the naysayers. What do we want?? 'No comment' and then the Swans are jumped on for being media bland!
I'm happy for the only dual Brownlow medallist playing to do whatever his coach wants..as he has done since he started (and has never indicated he would go against).

The Swans media dept should be embarassed about this ghostwritten article. Clearly they are trying desperately to create some interest in this match ala Roos' comments re Buddy Franklin last week. Goodes would be more effective chasing the ball than worrying what Judd is up to.

This is a hard game to tip BTW. Swans will bounce back from a poor showing and generally play well at the SCG. Carlton on the other hand have to beat sides like Sydney (away) if they are genuine contenders this year...it makes for a cracker match.

    Goodes - Hadley
    Bolton - Murphy
    Kirk - Judd
    McVeigh - Gibbs

Raises the question of how a Goodes Vs Cousins duel would go.....

I'd imagine it wouldn't last long, Cousins' hammy wouldn't be up for it.
I only support one team: The SYDNEY SWANS!!!!!

I hope it's not Kirk on Judd. I seem to remember Juddy burning him off very early to score a goal. Needs someone quicker. Shaw would be the go but I am looking forward to his run on half back at the SCG.

Perhaps McV on Judd, might keep him accountable also

Agree McVeigh would seem the best option. Has the pace and motor and kicks goals these days.

as long as he realises he needs to be attacking as well, not just focussed on stopping Judd.

Jolly will be super important. We need first use.

We can't shut down all of their midfielders, and if they can get a quick kick out of the centre with out too much pressure
a la, how we played last week, Fevola will kick 10

Agree that McV is the best match for Judd in terms of accountability, Shaw, for a pure shut down role.

Gibbs will get sent to Goodes, and why wouldn't the blues go that option again, he clearly had the better of Goodes last time.

I couldn't disagree more with the 'McVeigh best option' theory.

He struggled as a tagger to the point where the majority of fans wondered how he kept his spot.

He got freed of tagging duties last year and a B&F was a result.

Why would we sacrifice one of the few attacking midfield options we have?
