Roos said that Hall should probably retire. Was not happy. I've had enough of his antics, though we need him to help us develop. Though we can take inspiration from Adelaide ho got rid of their key forwards and built a small forward line with 1-2 talls. Thats what we should opt for with Johnston, and White the two talls.

Not sure about the credibility of this news but IF TRUE it makes good sense for both the club and for barry
    1. He made 250 games..a huge milestone!
    2. He has had the ultimate prize..a premiership
    3. He has become a serial reactive puncher..not possible today with cameras everywhere
4.The swans are rebuilding.why not start now? He has got one more season at the most
5.He has a lucrative career to go to
6.The fans and the coaching staff and probably the team have had enough. He lost us the Hawthorn game and there went the season!

So now might be a mutually ideal time, giving the team a chance to experiment before next season..maybe White to CHF Currie/Pyke to ruck

Maybe, but Hall's football brain still works off the field. I can think of no better forward coach - and we'll need one if you want Currie, Pyke and White to excel.

We are going to be on the end of some serious hidings if he retires. People are unhappy with our competive efforts against good sides at the moment - what's it going to be like when we start getting smashed.

He is our most productive forward by a country mile.

The problem is if he keeping getting suspended than he may as well retire as he won't be on the field either way.

Fair point. He's a clown and what's happening isn't good but he is playing too well.

If he was struggling, I'd be all for giving him the flick.

If he is forced to retire, why not play Goodes up forward to replace him and play ROK and Patrick Veszpremi in the midfield? It couldn't hurt playing Goodes up forward, he has the athletism, strength and most of all, the discipline.,

Thats it in a nutshell! He is a great player and needed but of no use to the club being suspended for large parts of every season.Plugger may be right about hidings but we did play alright without him last year.

It's pretty harsh to ask a bloke to retire on those terms..... he looks to me like he wants to play, but he has this 'you touch me and I'll BOP ya' retarded mentality.
He should play out the rest of the season, regardless of the suspension tonight.
250 games is still an awesome contribution. Ross is just so frustrated especially after Skilton's analysis.
