I saw Ditterich play his first game against Melb in about 63. I remember he was easily B.O G., and quite tall. But my memory is that he was still pretty skinny, nothing like the powerhouse he became. He did okay, wasn't going to be put off by the "senior" Blues players trying to push him around at times and gave a bit back too. I liked the fact that he looked like he believed that he should be out there.
