"I feel as good as I ever have and (I've) been bouncing around at training with the sun out. Never has there been a point in my career where I've felt I no longer want to do this."

Agreed. We need the core strength for another season at least to set up our future. He is probably going to do a Robert Harvey, and just stay. Yay.

Also playing harder opponents, Kirk may not have touched the ball as often but he kept many others from it as well

yeah don't think his form is anything to worry about at this stage

i'd be happy to see him suit up again for next season and by the sounds of it he will

Was with Kirky while he was signing my son's jumper at the Hall of Fame night and noticed he could barely hold the pen due to a really swollen finger. I commented on how sore it must be and he said 'I have a lot of hurts at the moment, and not just losing'.
I got the impression he was carrying more than just the usual bruises he must get from the way he plays his footy. He wasn't walking all that easily that night either.
I had doubts he would front up again at Manuka so was surprised to see him there. He didn't play much of the last quarter against Melbourne, my son kept asking where he was (stats for final quarter were '0').

Pretty good example of how much hurt players go through just to represent their team. Regardless of how much you rate a player - it still sends shivers down your spine.
