    Possible Team List
    • 8. Daniel O'Keefe
    • 9. Nick Malceski
    • 13. Patrick Veszpremi (Seniors emergency)
    • 21. Leo Barry
    • 22. Matthew Laidlaw
    • 27. Kristin Thornton (Seniors emergency)
    • 34. Ryan Brabazon
    • 41. Brendan Murphy
    • 42. Paul Bevan (Seniors emergency)
    • 44. Jake Orreal
    • 46. Taylor Gilchrist
Scholarship players (from): Nathan Gordon, Jay Lewis, Matt May, Ryan Bottin-Noonan

IN: Nick Malceski (return from quad injury)
OUT: Amon Buchanan, Tim Schmidt, Matt O'Dwyer

    Summary
With 2 rounds remaining, the battle for a finals spot intensifies. Queanbeyan are breathing down our necks just 2 points behind, and they take on 3rd placed Ainslie.

Injuries to Craig Bird (seniors), Amon Buchanan and Tim Schmidt (both reserves) last week will deplete the reserves stocks for this week's game. With this game being played at the same time as the seniors game, and with injury clouds over ROK and Jolly, it is likely one or more emergencies will be hanging around in Melbourne. A weakened team, playing one of the stronger sides in the comp and playing away from home - it will be an extremely difficult task for the Swans to triumph.

Queanbeyan beat Ainslie today, so as it stands they take our spot in the top 4.

Thanks Ugg. I read Monty is having knee surgery - poor Timbo cannot take a trick - Birdy, bugger.

Hope the toppies take them on, as well as the twos. And that they include some of those huge toppies we got in the last game (big as seasoned players).

    Good luck guys.

Heard from a good source today that there will be some Toppies from Sydney on the bus going down to ACT. When we play in Canberra normally all the toppies come from the ACT League. Not sure whats happening there? When we played Queanbeyan couple weeks ago we also had Dylan McNeil (Rams U18 capt), be good to have him on board for Sunday as he really fitted in well! Injuries and NO bench eventually cost us against Belconnen, was a great performance and we really need to replicate that again, but with regular player stocks fading fast it will be a tall order. Hope they can put in a big one. See there was a nice yarn on Nathan Gordon on Swans website also.
Laidlaw fit to play you reckon ugg???? We certainly need him as a focus up front!

Just going by the official injury list - Laidlaw was not listed.

He's also listed in this list of players, which includes the 3 emergencies.

Just looked at the link, only 17 players listed, no Murphy, anyone know if he is playing?

We need to beat Tuggeranong @ ANZ next week and hope Eastlake beat Queanbeyan otherwise the Reserves won't make the finals.

So probably Malceski or Barry for McVeigh next week, if nobody else really stood out.

I'll take Leo thanks. At least you know he will have a go. Why would you bother with Malceski against a top 2 side?
