I feel a bit "yeah-nah" about this. Can't miss what you didn't have.
Best wishes to him back in Ireland.
At least Jimmy stuck it out for a long career.
Why am I not surprised. toldyers. Good luck to the kid though. Hope he does well.
If you've never jumped from one couch to the other to save yourself from lava then you didn't have a childhood
That's life. We won't miss him because he didn't make it.
Not at all. If he doesn't sign the contract, he doesn't stay on the list (rookie or otherwise). If he signs the contract, he stays in Australia. However, if he were to call the Swans and ask to come back and train sometime next year, he'll probably be allowed. Obviously won't be allowed to play, but they would then sign him for 2011 (if he was considered up for it). Presumably he'd be allowed to play as a top-up in the ressies if that were to happen.
Officially on the Reid and Sumner bandwagon!
Doesn't mean we can't feel we lost his potential though. He was also a tall, an endangered species at the Swans.
If anything, the fact that he was a rookie means this is more of a loss, because we only get to replace him with a rookie, and as far as rookies go he was showing more than average.
Officially on the Reid and Sumner bandwagon!
It's a shame, I really liked the look of him and did think he could amount to a solid role player for us. Best of luck with his future endeavours.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time
