What's with Paddy giving the Blue Steel?
'Delicious' is a fun word to say
kind of disappointed that the thread title wasn't "Grundy Resigns"
That always makes for a lot of fun
The difference between insanity and genius is measured only in success.
Just a plodder.
He's way too slow to be a consistently good defender like Bolton or Leo.
Foot skills are unreliable when under no pressure resulting in telling turnovers.
If Grundy is all we have in a key defensive post CHB/FB/3rd tall... we're in trouble.
"As a player he simply should not have been able to do the things he did. Leo was a 185cm, 88kg full-back and played on some of the biggest, fastest and best full-forwards of all time, and constantly beat them." Roos.
Leo Barry? you star! We'll miss ya, ''Leapin''.
Great news. Good footballer.

Great news. I really like Grundy. Alot. I think he would've gotten stacks of invaluable experience this year. His next few seasons are going to be sensational.
Good to hear. I used to think he was never gonna look comfortable in the seniors but he seems to have grown in confidence and skill.

Sorry, have to disagree. I think he's looking more like Leapin' Leo every game. Takes marks like him. Leos kicks were never that spectacular. He wasn't super fast, but he played on immediately more often than not and bounced around like a pinball which made him initially quite un-predictable. I reckon Reg's marking makes him akin to players we've always had over the past decade and a bit. Mid-to-tall defenders who weren't brilliant kicks but could take a great grab on the last line and take bigger players (Leo Barry, Schauble, Dunkly, Luff). We've always had one. And at 192cm/99kg is taller and heavier than Leo & Luffy (and roughly the same size as Dunks/Schaubs (so will hopefully eventually be able to take bigger forwards) .
I am only comparing pace, and in that regard Grundy is below average, which is death as a key defender if the ball is delivered reasonable well or better to your opponent. Especially when you're also reactive and slow off the mark as Grundy.
Lurch for example is much faster, which is why he spoils balls (leads) that Grundy gets no-where near.

Bear going against the grain just for the sake of it, as usual *yawn*
