    It's trade week isn't it???
Same old, same old. Just bend down and take it (again) Sydney!!

Wouldn't have minded Lovett coming to Sydney, but I don't think he's worth a round 1 pick.

Does anyone know if the "draftees" have been put into order yet???
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.

I hate all the tough talk leading up to trade week, then we fold like a stack of cards behind a flatulent elephant.

"Our first two picks wont be traded, we've offered our 4th pick for Seaby"

Result: We take a 6 spot downgrade in the first round for West Coast fringe player.

"Jolly will not come cheap, we're looking at pick 14 and a good young player"

Result: Jolly nominates Collingwood and friendly Sydney want to help him, thus accepting pick 14 for an elite ruck.

I think we are playing chicken with Collingwood atm. If it comes down to friday arvo I think we will be taking pick 14.

There seemed to be a bit of confusion in the other thread, so I tried to simplify it using the Fox Sports Blog as an example.

We get Seaby and downgrade our pick from 22 to 28.
Brisbane get Monty, Staker and pick 39.
West Coast get Dalziell and pick 22.

We've now picked up an eight spot upgrade in the third round, giving the 47 we got for Bazza to Brisbane for 39 to complete this deal and make the Bazza one look a little better.
"It's up to the rest of the players in the room to make a new batch of premiership players next year," Adam Goodes, triple Bob Skilton Medallist, October 7, 2011.

I think we want to get rid of him though, we would be pretty keen for another first round pick.

Why don't North want him? Jolly/McIntosh would be nigh unbeatable.
