After last year's epic match, it is on again. Both the NSWGAA and AFL Sydney sides have been training hard for the final footy game in 2009.

HJ Mahoney Memorial Reserve in Marrickville is the venue for Saturday's clash & looks an absolute treat.

    Men's match starts at 3pm ... ladies at 1pm.

    Team line-ups are:

Good luck to both men and women teams. Thought the Sydney AFL would've looked at some of the Irish stock running around for UTS n Manly, that #35 agains.......well, he played Div 3 at one stage i suppose.....he was a handy player, read the game well. But i guess you can't go wrong with the squad picked, they got the bikkies last year!

Popped in at Mahoney Park to have a look at the game this afternoon. Enjoyable game played in good spirits. International Rules can be a challenge to see who adapts best to the changed rules, but there were some good highlights. Cracker of a goal by Shane D'Arcy just after half time was probably the play of the day.
The Sydney AFL boys were far too strong and won easily, with Kieran Wright winning the best-on-ground medal. The GAA won the womens match.
A good day out. Well done to Rafters and the others who made it happen.
